Who needs Ben & Jerry’s when we have the proudly Jewish owned Häagen-Dazs

Ben & Jerry’s caused an uproad by stating that their ice cream brand would no longer be sold in the Israeli territories of Judea and Samaria (incorrectly called the West Bank) because they deem it to be “occupied Palestinian territories”, despite the fact that no country called Palestine has ever existed in the history of the world.

The company has a long history of supporting controversial liberal causes, and has now decided to wade into pure anti-Semitism. Instead of consuming their products, why not switch over to a wonderful company with a long history of Jewish pride and Israel support.

Reuben and Rose Mattus were Polish-Jewish entrepreneurs who founded the Häagen-Dazs ice cream business in the United States.

They chose the name Häagen-Dazs, which was Danish sounding as a tribute to Denmark’s exemplary treatment of its Jews during World War 2, adding an umlaut which does not exist in Danish. They even put a map of Denmark on the carton as a further tribute.

The Mattus’ were proud Jewish members of the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA), expressed unabashed support for Rabbi Meir Kahane, had a fond love of the Israeli settlements and were founders of a high school of technology in Herzliya.

Anti-Israel is anti-Semtism, it’s sad that there are still Jews out there who are unable to see this. It’s time to hit these businesses who openly hate the Jewish people and the one country we can call Home where it hurts them the most…IN THEIR BOTTOM LINE.

Kick Ben & Jerry’s to the curb forever and go with a truly Jewish brand of ice cream that not only is better for the palate, but far better for the soul as well.
